If you haven't met her yet, let me introduce you to Francis. We found her dumped in a Burnaby, BC, park washroom. She had injuries around her bottom, and we later discovered she was missing her tail (predator or other trauma, we'll never know).

Francis is a tiny lionhead lop with pretty much the sweetest face you could imagine. So when she first came to the shelter, she had a lot of adoption interest! We never thought she'd still be with us, almost a year later.

Because of her lost tail, Francis struggles to keep herself clean when she pees. She often has a wet underside and needs regular cleaning and drying to keep her comfortable.

When some earlier-interested adopters discovered that Francis has a disability... crickets.

Caring for a rabbit with a disability is a time commitment that many aren't able to offer, but the radio silence still hurts on Francis' behalf.

We are hopeful to find Francis' perfect person - someone who will love and care for her in her entirety.

Francis is not a couch lounger - she's quick and zippy - blink, and she's down the hall! She loves vertical space, hopping on boxes, and discovering new heights. She's easygoing with other bunnies and would absolutely benefit from a bonded partner.

Rabbits with special care needs can be incredibly hard to place. But we know her home is out there. A family that will dote on her, and in return, form an incomparable bond with an incredible bunny. She is worth it.
