RIP Noah. We had Noah, one of the dozen New Zealand white bunnies we took in from Coquitlam, in for a dental a few days ago and yesterday he passed away from a heart defect. He was always a quiet boy, and now we know why.
These rabbits have been both the happiest and saddest cases. The conditions they were kept in must have been horrendous, crammed in one small cage without sunlight or the proper nutrition, the life most meat bunnies lead. They were all given free run of a very large, fun enclose we built under our (huge) deck and they’ve been so happy.  But they have so many issues from their bad beginnings.
The photo is Noah with his surviving sisters Maddie and Gabby (in foster care with Zane), and their future isn’t looking that great either. Their late sister Maggie’s tests showed serious bone loss and both these girls are unsteady. If we can raise the funds, we’ll be doing further tests to see if there’s anything more we can do for them. Please donate if you can.
