8 babies found huddled in a pothole at the side of the road, weak and dehydrated. Half a block away, Mom had been struck by a car and was gone. Baby season is breaking our hearts. 💔
It’s a miracle that they were found, and by the right person. They were brought home for night, syringe-fed, then brought them to us for continued nursing. Baby foster Jen is giving them the utmost care.
Babies Barbie, Chickpea, and Hubcap have also moved to baby Foster Jen’s (read their rescue stories: shorturl.at/6PpDJ ), and the calls keep coming.
We found a small grey baby trapped in the Parq Casino parking garage. The team was there for hours. Trying to coax him out of a well-protected storage locker. From the dirt on our faces, you can see it was a tremendous effort. But by 3 AM, the bunny was in Brittney’s arms. Parq is living it up at Sorelle’s and loving life!
Next, a tiny orange bunny trapped in a care centre parkade. Her rescue took two days and the help of many, including Nurse Jean, whom we have named the bunny after.
Finally, a 3-day-old baby was found in the middle of No.3 Road + Granville. His finder brought him to Cozy Carrots; the owner texted Deanna a photo and one word: “Help”.
Help he received; the baby was brought to Jen, warmed up, and fed. Say hello to our youngest family member, Sungiven.

The bunnies are rightfully furious after being handled… and they’re taking it out on my eye.
We completed the first health check for our Young Adults Colony, rounding up 25 buns to note any bites, concerns, and overall body composition.
✅ 17 bunnies were healthy
⚠️ 3 bunnies we will continue to monitor
❌ 5 bunnies were pulled for bullying or being bullied. These buns often overlap, minus Cillian, who told us that he’s too sweet for colony life.
After two weeks, we are down from our original 25 to 20 bunnies. Things have calmed down since our health check, but I have my good eye on a couple of perpetrators who may be disrupting the peace … MJ, Brad, and Jarika are on the short list.
Lots of energy and shenanigans in this group - at least they’re having fun! 🤍
