TRIGGER WARNING - GRAPHIC IMAGES
Sick Bunny Fund - Our bunnies need your help.
We're having a big vet day, with several of our wee ones getting spays/neuters (thankfully, some are covered by a grant). But from there, things get troubling.
Our darling Binky Girl was surrendered back to us late last year. She has an amazing foster home lined up and was supposed to go home next week... and then she obtained a sudden eye injury (perhaps from a hay poke) and needs an eye removal surgery. 🥺🩷
Little Maple Lane went for her vet check, with malnutrition likely causing her mobility problems. She'll be getting supporting care and lots of treats to try to bring her back to health. She is such a gentle soul and we're hoping for the best.
One of our feral buns had jaw abscess surgery last December, but the abscess is already back. We need x-rays to dictate the appropriate surgery.
Finally, our sweet boy Carrots remains challenged. We're treating him for a possible skin infection and/or mites due to the repeated wet fur on his face. This big boy has been underweight but he's beginning to bulk up.
Needless to say, it's an expensive day. And every bit helps. If the Facebook button doesn't work, please try paypal.com/ca/fundraiser/charity/3764772 or rabbitats.org/donate.
And as always, please share!

Happy Tail Tuesday - Sticker and Mooney have FINALLY found their forever home. 🥹🩵
These brothers have has a long history with Rabbitats; they were actually the very first buns to be adopted from The Bunny Cafe! Unfortunately, they were surrendered back to us (of course, at no fault of their own).
From there, they shuffled around from foster homes and an unsuccessful bonding attempt ... these boys just couldn't catch a break!
Until they met their forever family. Here's what they have to say:
"Sticker (harlequin) and Mooney (white and round) are two lovely brothers we met at the Richmond sanctuary. They are adjusting to our busy home life, and have their own ideas about where we should be in our own living room; Mooney will stomp when we come by. 😅
Our neighbours bring them a large variety of veggies and treats: Sticker, sharp teeth ever ready, seems to like the really fibrous stuff like lemongrass, while Mooney prefers juicy stalks.
They like to bury their faces under the other bun's chin to ask for grooming. They're not big on snuggling with their humans, but they do snuggle and loaf with each other."
We are so happy these cuties are being spoiled in their new home, and are even happier that they can finally enjoy the stability they deserve.
Transitions are hard for bunnies, who typically thrive on routine. And while these boys used to be little cuddle bugs, it will take time for them trust that they won't have to move again... but when they do, they'll be ready for all of the snuggles. 🩷🐰
