Welcome to our world. Although we have the province of BC claiming the rabbits ARE wildlife so we’re trying to convince them their claim comes with responsibility. But it’s been tough. The ongoing game called ‘Punt the Bunnies’. https://www.seattletimes.com/…/cannon-beach-no-one-has-res…/

INJURED BUNNY - We got reports this afternoon of an injured bunny in Richmond. She was obviously domestic, and looked like a dumped house pet from photos alone.
In these cases, we often can’t take the rabbit. We know, it’s not fair. Nobody is more heartbroken than us, but we can only intake when resources allow.
Of course, when we saw videos of this bunny limping, dragging her leg behind her, we knew that she was an exception. We couldn’t just leave her out there, and we had to be quick.
Peter and Laura-Leah went to look for her and luckily, she was easy to find (and grab) with an obviously broken leg. “Dayton Ash” is safe and sound, taking her Metacam like a pro and nibbling on grass and hay.
Her leg is another story.
She’ll be seeing Dr Rana in the morning for a diagnosis. Please help us care for Dayton and pay her vet bill. 💕

Happy Tail Tuesday - Bo has found her forever home. 🖤
Bo, previously Dumbo, was the last of her siblings to leave the shelter. She waited for over a year for someone to take her home...
Her brother Spot had been adopted almost a year before, and his bun-parents wanted to see if maybe they'd get along. Their speed date was a little uncertain; the duo didn't quite know how to interact with each other. But we made the collective decision to give it a shot, sending Bo home knowing they had about a 50/50 chance of securing the bond.
Well, look at them now! These two are sewn at the hip.
Bo is still pretty shy with her new family, but she finds comfort and confidence with Spot by her side. She's incredibly curious, loves to hide under the bed, and has a big appetite for veggies.
Spot has been so patient with Bo since she has come home and loves to show her around. They're truly best buds. 🥹✨🩷
We couldn't have hoped for a better outcome for these two wee buns.
