RHDV2 killed thousands of rabbits last year and it’s still lurking in the environment. We vaccinated close to 400 rabbits and they all need booster shots this year and we’re expecting to house another 400 rabbits or more in our new sanctuary. We need to order at least that amount of vaccine or more now as there will only be one order this year and the deadline is APRIL 15th! Even using bulk packs of vaccine, this is going to be an expensive proposition. Vaccinating the rabbits is crucial. Please donate to this cause! Please help! RHDV Fund

Incoming owner surrenders - we just took in these two sweeties in need of a loving retirement home. Meet Salt and Sage - a stunning New Zealand and Flemish Giant.
At six years old, they’re seniors for big buns; they’re in good health, but in need of a spay and neuter before they head to their new home.
Both are very friendly and love pets. They’ve been with their guardian since they were just little babies.
Please consider donating so that we can get them spayed/neutered, along with blood tests to ensure good health if our vet recommends them. These surgeries come with higher risks due to their age, though there are also risks with leaving them unaltered. We trust our vet inherently to make that call. 💗

These requests always break our hearts, where extenuating circumstances force their guardians to give them up.
We appreciate withholding judgement ie. outdoor cage living. These living conditions were a downgrade, meant to protect them from bears in their area. Their guardian wanted them to have upgraded conditions, and we are helping with that. In turn, negative comments will be deleted.
When we judge others, it discourages them from reaching out when needing help. Thank you for respecting this.

An update on the Hope rescue we shared earlier this week:
Bunnies are safe and sound with their rescuer, Kat. The four babies are still with us and seemingly healthy. Mom and dad are much improved. When found, they were dehydrated and bony. 😞This is no longer the case, as they slowly gain weight with lots of fresh hay and greens.
Thank you again to Kat for her compassion in rescuing and harbouring this family. We’re still looking to help these bunnies find their forever homes and/or temporary foster homes.
While safe with Kat, they can only remain with her for another couple of weeks. They’ve had a tough start, but we’re determined to secure them a happy future. 💞💕
