Little Foot + Dawn Queen say "Bring us home!" 🐰
These bunnies make the perfect pair. DQ (lionhead/lop) is super outgoing and demands attention. She has a fabulous mane and just the right amount of 'tude.
Little Foot (lop) is a demure cutie who warms up with love and the right cuddle partner. Once shy, he's become quite social after his time at The Bunny Cafe.
This 2-year-old bonded duo has been at the shelter for far too long and are ready to go home, like yesterday! Are you the right family for them? Fill out a questionnaire at rabbitats.org/adopt

This is a goodbye we never wanted to say. We met Dude late last summer as a small bunny being harassed in Dude Chilling Park, obviously a dumped pet. Children were picking him up by his limbs, and he was making no attempts to run away. He was always the most gentle boy.
After a kind soul scooped him up, she brought him to us. Usually, when we get new intakes, the bunnies are afraid, understandably so. In their carriers, they stick to the furthest depths. But Dude stayed glued to the carrier door, looking at us. He wanted to be as close to us as possible. Love incarnate.
Dude waited months to meet the right family. He had a few dates + some interested adopters, but was always passed up for someone else. It made no sense – this gentle prince who just wanted to cuddle on your lap.
Then, he met his mom, Didi, and his love, Luci. After a promising speed date, he went home. Luci, displeased with Dude in her space, decided she quite hated him. But no matter how many times she went after him, Dude was persistent! He loved her already, and wanted her to reciprocate.
After two weeks of bonding help, Sorelle declared that the grudge ran too deep, and they would likely never bond … but gave them another week, and of course bunnies love to prove us wrong. Something clicked and they went home together as husbun and wife.
Their little family was complete for just over a month before the worst happened. One moment, Dude was happily bopping about, the next, he was rushing past with his back legs dragging behind him. He lost the use of his legs within seconds from a spinal fracture of unknown origins.
For the next three weeks, he was given around the clock care and love by his two girls. He was spirted, eating, and grooming them both in gratitude.
After a turn for the worse on Wednesday + emergency veterinary care, he passed peacefully at home. He waited for his mom to return with fresh greens, groomed her and his and bun-wife, and went to sleep.
Dude, we will always miss you.
Please, consider donating to help with Dude’s passed vet visits. We are thankful for everything our vets have done for him, and to Didi who gave him the best home he could’ve found.
