Happy Tail Tuesday – Pepper + Bennett: Every Bunny Needs Somebunny 🐇

"Last September, Pepper lost her bonded sister and was left sad and lonely. Her humans knew she needed a friend, so in March they connected with Rabbitats and set up some bunny speed dates. They specifically wanted a mature male companion for their senior girl.

Pepper, however, had her mind made up - she wasn’t interested in any of the eight eligible bachelors. That is, until she met Bennett. Their first meeting showed a tiny spark of connection, though it faded quickly. Still, something about Bennett lingered in Pepper’s (and Pepper’s human’s) heart, so the very next day they returned for a longer one-on-one visit. This time, it clicked, and Bennett came home.

The road to love wasn’t instant. With constant supervision, weeks of gradually expanding their shared space, and every bonding trick in the book, Pepper and Bennett slowly grew closer. Now, they’re inseparable.

Bennett is full of personality- he’s a champion groomer, doting on Pepper and his humans alike. He and Pepper enjoy supervised outdoor time each day, zoomying and exploring, side by side. They’d have the whole house to themselves if not for one small problem: they both refuse to walk on the floors! Instead, when they’re not racing around their backyard, they rule their blanket kingdom complete with castles, snuffle mats, tunnels, toys, and their favourite strawberry-shaped houses. 🍓

While Bennett is still a little stubborn with his litter box training, he’s otherwise the perfect addition to the family. He’s given Pepper joy again, and together they’ve made a new, loving bond that’s stronger than ever.
