Adoptable Bunny - Hansel needs to go home. π€
"My name is Hansel, and I'm about 7.5 years old. I used to have a partner named Gretel, who I loved very much. But every since she passed, I have been so alone.
I have cataracts in my eyes and am blind. This makes me fearful of sudden noises or movements. I'm nervous about what I can't see.
I spend most of my day hiding in my enclosure. Sometimes I get outside time, but every bunny needs a turn - and there are so many bunnies.
I have had a hard life. I was not treated well as a young bunny, and that has made me afraid. I used to have Gretel for comfort, but now even she is gone. I'm scared that this is what the rest of my life will look like - stuck in a shelter with just pellets to look forward to. Unless someone takes a chance on me and brings me home.
It will take time for me to feel safe in a new place. But I don't feel safe right now. The shelter is filled with bunnies and noises that I don't understand. I need a home where I can finally let my guard down, and feel peace in my senior years. If you can do that for me, please help."

Happy bunnies out at our Kindred Farm space. β€ π°π Two years ago supporters helped us raise enough funds to buy a small share of this wonderful co-op housing project with the Kindred Community Farm, allowing both organizations to have the stability of a forever space. β€ It takes a lot of planning and building to accommodate all the animals, it will be a work in progress for quite some time. But the current rabbits have been moved from their rickety temporary lodgings to this sweet indoor/outdoor enclosure while Kindred constructs their new barn. (PS: This video is from a couple of weeks ago, the grass had to be covered by wire, because of course the bunnies were digging to China!) We don't know where the dust will settle on a permanent area with more rabbits (Kindred was originally looking at 10 acres and ended up with just under 5 acres so space is tight) but our Kindred bunnies are super happy and well supported by a great crew of volunteers. πΉ πΏ ...
