Our adorable rabbits will be on hand to celebrate the ‘Moon Rabbit Festival’ this Saturday (Sept 14) at the Lulu Island Winery in Richmond, BC, 4 to 8 pm in advance of Mid-Autumn Festival, which is Sept. 17 this year.
The event will feature our signature bunny ‘meet n’ treat’ and, in keeping with the Mid-Autumn harvest moon festivities, we will also have lanterns along with mooncakes (vegan) and other sweets on hand.
Sadly, the Good Dogs Food Cart previously scheduled had to cancel.
We will have free games and crafts along with rabbit-themed merchandise including lanterns for sale in an effort to raise funds for the rabbit rescue. Lanterns range from $5 to $15. (And be sure to enter our Moon Rabbit Raffle!)
The popular mooncakes may be in short supply, so a limited number of pre-orders are available through our website, rabbitats.org/shop. There will be no admission charge for people picking up lanterns and mooncakes at the Moon Rabbit event although a donation will be appreciated.
Admission is a suggested donation of $5 at the door with an additional charge of $5 for bunny feeding.
