"Is this bunny wild?" "Were they dumped?" "Are they in danger?"
Every domestic rabbit found in the wild is deserving of rescue support.
The sad truth is that rabbit rescues are incredibly limited by capacity, funding, and staffing. They can often only take in bunnies in the most immediate danger. And still, only when they have the resources to responsibly do so.
Differentiating between wild, feral, and recently dumped rabbits helps rescues prioritize those in most need.
When you see a domestic rabbit outdoors, please report the sighting to abandonedrabbits.com - this is our best tool for not only rescue support, but also tracking feral rabbit populations.
Not every rabbit reported will be rescued (believe us, if we could, we would). But your report is still invaluable.
The more accurately we can track feral populations, the stronger our case for targeted support and funding long-term ethical solutions.
Each report helps us advocate for all rabbits.
Our 2027 calendar cover star is Sally! 🐰📸 🩵And pre-orders are available now at Rabbitats.org/shop
Sally is a long-time resident and certified beauty queen of The Bunny Cafe. She was found as a young bunny roaming the streets in Abbotsford and, surprise! She was pregnant with 5 special bunnies: Sidney, Sasha, Sabrina, Simon, + Stevie.
In Rabbitats tradition, this year's calendar features 13 months of the sweetest rabbits and their individual rescue stories. Beautifully photographed by the talented and generous Yang Xia. It's one of our favorite projects of the year and we really hope you love it.
As always, 100% of proceeds support our rescue bunnies. So be sure to grab your copy (and one for everyone you know!).
Available for Canada-wide and international shipping (sorry for the shipping costs, American friends). + local pickup at our Richmond shelter. 🤍Thank you for supporting the bunnies!
We have a big weekend ahead of us, with spays and neuters planned for (up to) 45 bunnies!! 🫨🐰
