Happy Tail Tuesday! Two baby buddies, reunited and home at last.

It all started at a Steveston excavation site. A bunny burrow was dug up, revealing survivor Prince and his brothers. They were transferred to baby foster Jen, who often houses new babies together, mixing orphans with sibling groups (best for warmth and comfort).

That’s how Prince met Charming.

Charming was found as a solo baby at just a few days old, brought to a clinic for euthanasia.

We couldn’t let that happen.

Charming joined Prince’s crew, and they spent their first weeks on this earth together.

Eventually, Prince and Charming went their separate ways (when their hormones started ramping up) - Charming to a foster family, and Prince to Cozy Carrots bunny lounge.

When Charming’s family decided it was time to get Charming a bonded partner, Prince immediately came to mind.

They met on neutral grounds at our Richmond sanctuary, and it was pretty much magic. They seemed to remember each other right away. No hesitation, just plunking down beside each other like, “hi old friend!”

Prince started grooming Charming like a mad man (a skill Charming has picked up since going home together) and of course, got some humps in too; they’re bunnies after all. But Charming really didn’t seem to mind all that much!

Lucky - enjoying the green while it lasts!

This guy was rescued in Burnaby over the summer.. so friendly, he let his rescuer scoop him right up! Happy to report that the little guy is thriving.
