The bunnies’ stint at Catfe was such a success, we were help over through to the end of December! It generated a lot of attention and really proved how sociable rabbits can be. Thanks to our little furry friends for making us look good and being the best ambassadors ever!
We have the cutest babies just in after losing their home. Mom is a lop, Dad is a white lionhead, and the six babies are all over the map! They’re 11 weeks and they can be fostered until they are old enough for spays and neuters, and then adopted. (The boys can be done in another month, the girls likely in two months). There are four boys and two girls. (Pictured is mom and the two girls and the four boys in another shot). We need to get mom and dad done and then they will also be up for adoption. Please spread the word! They’re currently at our shelter in Richmond, BC. (Thanks for the ride, Vlad!) We’re not getting any support on this one so spay/neuter assistance would also be appreciated.
We’re in need of people who can foster one or more of our bunnies in treatment. We have bunnies needing medication, Critical Care feedings, a bit of cleaning, who need to be closely monitored, etc. Would anybody be up for that over the holidays? It’s Christmas Eve but thought we’d throw that out there. Our caregivers are really overwhelmed right now. Please contact us if you are able to help!
Winston & Sebastian are brothers, and Christian (Winston’s son, not pictured) makes three!
Would you be able to open your home and your hearts to this loveable, gentle, bonded trio of big boy buns? If so, please contact us for more information!
Some great photos from the Rabbitats DXE work party on the weekend. We keep the house bunnies in the basement and we have a holding area for outside bunnies under our huge deck. We’ll be developing the half-acre yard into a rabbit sanctuary come spring if we can round up volunteers and funding. Support from organizations like DXE — Direct Action Everywhere – Vancouver, Coast Salish Territories — gives us hope! We can’t thank them enough!
Patches, our sweet January calendar girl, is such a friendly bunny to both humans and other bunnies. She’d love to find her very own family and bunny friend to live with. Do you have a bunny looking for love? ♥️
Gorgeous bonded bunnies Picasso (slate grey lionhead girl) and Warhol (smaller white lionhead boy) are coming back from foster this week, so it’s a great time to come meet them at the shelter if you may consider giving them a furever home with you!
They are great with their litterbox, LOVE their hay and parsley, are patient with being groomed, love their yard time (though not so much now that it’s cold) and tolerate their dog housemates (one is a Chihuahua mix, the other is a mixed-breed rescue, both around 10-12 lbs and not hyper).
We recommend a bunny-savvy adult only home. 🙂
We at Rabbitats are so grateful for our supporters. Recently Zavi Williams and her mom Leanne visited the shelter to give us a donation of Zavi’s saved-up allowance totalling $31.60. Thank you for caring and sharing Zavi! ♥️
